Heather Layne in Concert
July 6th at 7pm
Second Congregational Church of Winsted will host a free Celebrate Recovery concert with California-based singer-songwriter Heather Layne, combining live music with a personal testimony of healing from domestic abuse and trauma.
Layne connects with audiences through songs such as “Close Your Eyes” and “Best Part of My Day,” as well as through the story behind her music. Her testimony reflects the mission of Celebrate Recovery, a faith-based ministry focused on healing from life’s hurts, habits, and hangups.
“I was suffering from the scars and buried pain of severe domestic abuse I endured earlier in life,” Layne says. “As I worked the 12 steps of recovery, God worked in my heart, and my life started to untangle. Songwriting became my therapy and my connection with God.”The concert will be held at Second Congregational Church, 800 Main Street, Winsted.
The event is free and open to the public, and all are invited to attend this evening of music, testimony, faith, and encouragement.
