March 29th to April 5th (Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday)
For the 27th consecutive year, WIHS is participating in \"Joy At Work Week\" from Palm Sunday to Easter (Resurrection) Sunday. The annual promotion is organized by Northeast Christians At Work, an all-volunteer workplace ministry based in Vernon, CT
Founded in 2000, Joy At Work Week encourages working Christians from all traditions and denominations to take the joy of the Lord into their workplaces. “As we remember what Jesus did for us during Passion Week,” says founder Drew Crandall, “if we really believe what we say we believe, then we should be the most joyful people where we work because our sins are forgiven. We all have our moments of frustration, but a consistently, chronically grumpy Christian is a contradiction of terms.”

FACT: Jesus Christ has given YOU a gift – the gift of salvation! But like with any gift YOU have a CHOICE to RECEIVE it or not … Jesus willingly died on the cross as a substitute for you and me – for our sins! Three days later He rose from the dead & defeated the power of death – The Resurrection!!
If you’ve ever lied, stolen anything, used God’s name as a swear word, disrespected your parents and/or broken any of the other 10 Commandments – you have sinned against God!
And … there is NOTHING that we can do to earn forgiveness for our sins –
NO THING.
We need to receive Jesus’ gift of salvation in order to be reconciled & forgiven by God so that we can be born-again … and to be 100% sure we will go to Heaven when we die!Jesus Christ willingly shed his blood on the cross as a sacrifice and a substitute for you and me. Because of His shed blood — His sacrifice — He made a way so that you and I could be forgiven of our sins and brought into a right relationship with GOD – We don’t have to live empty, meaningless lives & we don’t have to spend an eternity in Hell – THIS is the \"Good News\"!!!
Did you know: A born-again relationship with Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to be forgiven of your sins and to go to Heaven. The Bible says: “…Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”(John 3:3).
It's pretty simple!! Being “born-again” means that you:A: Admit you’re a sinner
B: Believe Jesus died on the cross for your sins
C: Confess that Jesus is the Lord of your life – ask Him into your heartIf you do this sincerely, the Bible promises that the Holy Spirit comes to live in you and you are brought into a right relationship with God – “born again” spiritually!! (Romans 10:9)
This is NOT about empty religion, rigid rules & meaningless rituals – but about a personal, intimate, real relationship with the Living God — not about a bunch of “head” knowledge but about a “heart” relationship.
The Bible says that God has inscribed your name on the palm of His hand (Isaiah 49:16), He knows the very number of hairs on your head (Matthew 10:30), and that He knows the plans He has for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you (Jeremiah 29:11). He already knows you and wants you to know Him!!
But … unless you have a received Jesus’ gift of salvation, you won’t be able to know any of these things.
