As a baby, Jesus was remarkable because He was God – the Second Person of the Trinity – in human form. This Divine Baby grew into a perfect, sinless Man who chose to die a brutal death on a cross so that we could be forgiven of our sins.
Each one of us has sinned against God because we have broken His Law (the Ten Commandments), and each one of us deserves to go to Hell.
But, because Jesus died on the cross as a substitute for us, God can forgive us!!
Because of Jesus’ shed blood — His sacrifice — He has made a way so that we can be forgiven of our sins and brought into a right relationship with God.
Then … Jesus rose from the dead and defeated the power of the grave! This is the \"Good News\" we proclaim each day on WIHS!
But why would Jesus do this?
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16The Bible PROMISES that if you repent and trust Jesus the Savior, God will forgive your sins and grant you everlasting life (Romans 10:9)
When you do this, you are what the Bible calls, “born again”.
And Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again” John 3:3
This is why WIHS celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ – not just at Christmas but EVERY DAY!!
“There is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior,
who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11
