September 20th at 9am
First Step to Better Living Health Fair and Walk, Run & Bike-a-Thon. This will be a fun and educational event for the entire family! The day starts with an adult fitness challenge competition at 9:45 am, then immediately followed by our Walk, Run & Bike-a-Thon on Saturday, September 20, 2025
Event location: The First Cathedral, 1151 Blue Hills Ave., Bloomfield.
The First Step Health Fair & Symposium starts at 11:00 am and goes until 2:00 pm inside of The First Cathedral.
The First Challenge Cup will be given to the school that has the most student participation.

Twilight Singles – Garlic Festival at Olde Mystic Village
September 20th at 1pm
This is a garlic lovers dream! We'll plan to arrive at 1:00 p.m. and do some shopping at all of their quaint little stores. The Garlic Festival is great they'll have lots of vendors on the sidewalks selling specialty garlic dishes. At about 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. we'll head over to either Mango's Pizza or the Steak Loft which is in Olde Mystic Village for dinner. We will have to figure out couple of weeks ahead of time where we want to eat to get a reservation. A great place if you've never been there.
