The Blessing
August 30th at 11am
Our event is called The Blessing because it will be a blessed opportunity for the many participating churches in the Greater Waterbury area to collaborate and work together in unity to reach the city for Christ, and also a blessing to the community, as we gather for prayer and outreach. The day will begin with corporate prayer on the main stage, which will include prayer for city officials, first responders, educators, and veterans. Then, praise and worship (6 different worship teams) will continue until a short break in the afternoon, with an evangelist bringing forth a gospel message. Evangelism will also be taking place throughout the park at individual church and ministry tents and stations. Periodically, there will be baptisms and a prayer tent that will welcome people all day with specific needs and prayer requests. We will be giving away free bookbags with school supplies, children's bikes, and a host of other giveaways. The festivities will include face painting, free popcorn, ice cream, and balloons for he kids. Free hot dogs and other free food items will also be available to the public, with many free food giveaways throughout the day. “The Blessing” can be summed up as “a day of random kindness!”
